The Mombasa Tech Community Leads attending Mozilla Summit 2013 held in Toronto from 4th to 6th October 2013
I think I can count my blessings in very many ways this year. But I thank God for the making it possible for me to achieve (amongst other things in Mombasa) a great milestone, sending 3 brilliant technology experts from Mombasa to Toronto, for the Mozilla Summit. Its been a very fruitful journey in Mombasa, and I am glad that Mombasa Tech Community Team (Founded by Me, Said, and Alifiyah) has become a disruptive force in making this happen.
So what is the summit all about? According to the Mozilla Blog, Summit 2013 is real and starting to take shape. And we are trying something different this time, blazing a new path, expanding the idea of what is possible. We are not the Mozilla of 2010 so our Summit should not try to be either. And yes, there will be things along the way that you question, nothing great is perfect right from the start. Mostly, I hope there will be things that you love, make you happy, and that help you confirm you are where you should be making the sort of difference you want. No matter what just remember this event is for us. It is about our future, the future of Mozilla and the future of the open Web. It will have blemishes as well as beauty marks and will be as great as we let it.
I think it has been a crazy 1 and a half years in Mombasa. Mombasa was totally out of touch with global developments in the technology arena. Alifiyah, Said and Musa have been great people to work with, Alifiyah and Said are the appointed community leads for the tech community. And I am glad to say that their attendance in the Mozilla Summit is the best way for the Mombasa Tech Community to say, Thank you Alifya, Said and Musa. You deserve to get the benefits from the hard work you put in for us. Find these 3 amazing individuals below (in alphabetic order):
